Candidates must pass graduation with at least 60% aggregate or first class to apply for VIT Chennai M.Tech programme. Aspirants appearing for their final degree exam/ final semester exam in the current year are also eligible to apply. Aspirants must secure 60% and above or equivalent CGPA in Class 10, Class 12, diploma/ UG/ PG degree to apply for M.Tech programme.

Candidates must pass BE/ BTech in relevant discipline with a minimum of 60% aggregate to apply for VIT Chennai M.Tech programme. Hence, aspirants with 60% in BTech can apply for admission to M.Tech programme. Besides, meeting the aggregate requirements, candidates must also pass VITMEE conducted by the institute.

Candidates need to pass VITMEE for admission to VIT Chennai M.Tech programme. VITMEE is a two hour multiple-choice test. The computer based test consists of 100 questions with a maximum of 100 marks. Aspirants who score well in VITMEE need to further participate in online counselling and seat allotment process. Aspirants must also pass Class 10, Class 12/ Diploma and UG degree with a minimum of 60% aggregate for admission.

MTech seats at the University of Rajasthan are offered to registered students based on marks obtained in the qualifying examination. Yes, University of Rajasthan M.Tech seats are subject to rules of reservation. Thus, the university does reserve seats for candidates belonging to ST/SC categories.
