It can be obtained for the entire course duration, requiring a 1st Graduate Certificate for the 1st Graduate Scholarship. The total fee for the BE/BTech course at MIT Chennai ranges from INR 64,000 to INR 2 lakh. There is a range in the fee because the fee for each specialisation can be different from the other. The B.Tech programme is also provided as a part-time programme at Madras Institute of Technology and can have a slightly lower fee. The exact amount for the part-time programme is not disclosed. The final selection is facilitated through the TNEA Counseling process; this is the main gateway for admissions to Engineering colleges in Tamil Nadu. However, performance in the counseling sessions also plays a critical role.
