85 percent of seats in the MBBS course are reserved for the students who are natives of Tamil Nadu under State Quota. At the time of admission in Government Medical Colleges and Self-Financing Medical Colleges, 85 percent of the total available seats are reserved for students of Tamil Nadu only. Students applying under special Categories and Sports Quota need to submit a separate form in support of their candidature along with an additional fee of INR 100.
