To apply for an MBA at MKU, students need to qualify for either MAT/ CAT/ CMAT/ XAT/ TANCET/ TANCET MBA/ GMAT/ ATMA/ MAH CET exam with a valid score. To be eligible for the MBA programme at MKU the aspiring candidates need a minimum of 35% in class 12 and 50% in graduation. There are a total of 1526 seats available for the MBA programme out of which 291 is offered through the Directorate of Distance Education, Madurai Kamaraj University. 

To be considered for Madurai Kamaraj University Admission to this programme, candidates must have passed the 12th board examination with at least 45% marks in any stream. Moreover, the duration of the course is for two years and the fees for BBA course range between INR 9 K - INR 2.52 lakh.

Candidates should have passed the Higher Secondary Examination conducted by the Board of Higher Secondary Examinations, Government of Tamil Nadu or any other Examination accepted by the Syndicate as equivalent thereto, with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects.
