The faculty at Magadh University is educated, well-qualified, skilled, and are degree, PhD, and Diploma holders. Magadh University faculty are industry experts. The university invites faculty for guest lectures and various seminars and conferences.

Apart from being the largest University of Bihar, Magadh University constitutes one of the largest libraries in the state. The central library has various books, manuscripts and other reading materials, e-database, thousands of National and International journals, weekly & monthly magazines and daily newspapers in English and Hindi.

M U Bodhgaya is famous for its architecture and the placements it offers to students. (As per Shiksha verified review, "The college has an awesome infrastructure and all the facilities. The campus and buildings are clean and hygienic. The hostel facilities are excellent. We have free Wi-Fi connectivity. The labs, library, and classrooms are good. The quality of the food is excellent. Other services like medical facilities, sports, and games are available, and it is free for all of us."). The university has received the highest Shiksha rating as per verified Shiksha review for value for money.

Magadh University was established in 1962 and is one of the largest universities in Bihar. MU University, through about 39 affiliated colleges and 2 law colleges, and 19 constituent colleges, offers PG, UG, Vocational, and various other courses to students. These programmes are provided across the Science, Humanities, and various other streams. M U Bodhgaya aims to support faculty, scholars, and others in pursuing world-class research—theoretical, empirical, clinical, experiential and hence foster creative endeavour.

The eligibility requirements mandate a minimum of 50% marks in the Bachelor's Degree and candidates must also have a valid score in the CAT/MAT/CMT entrance examination.
