With a fees of approximately INR 3 Lakh, Alakh Prakash Goyal Shimla University offers industry based learning and internships starting from first semester itself. The minimum qualifying requirement for the MBA programme is a bachelor's degree from any discipline with an aggregate of 50% (45% for SC/ST/PwD) from an accredited university. In order to be admitted to Maharaja Agrasen University's MBA programme, candidates must have earned a 50% in graduation in any discipline from an accredited board. For the aforementioned course, the HPCET, MAT, CMAT, and CAT are the acceptable entrance exams. Experts estimate that the CAT 2023 cutoff will be 65–67 for the 90 percentile, 50–55 for the 95 percentile, and 40–42 for the 80 percentile. This can possibly be the decisive element.

Both the Universities have almost similar fees and facilities however, Alakh Prakash Goyal Shimla University is comparatively expensive as compared to Maharaja Agrasen University in terms of fees for some courses. Both the Universities are good in terms of infrastructure and faculties. However, Maharaja Agrasen University is definitely better in terms of placement records and packages. The university has a record of giving placements to more than 80 percent of students since 5 years. The package has also been decent i.e. 2.8 Lacs Per Annum - 8 Lacs Per Annum for most courses. Hence, Maharaja Agrasen University offers better placement that Andhra Pradesh Goyal Shimla University.

Maharaja Agrasen University, Shimla is a better option compared to Alakh Prakash Goyal Shimla University if you are pursuing B.Tech .
