I think you should take the seat and pursue it in spite of taking a year drop. Every single academic year is very important, so don't take risk of taking a drop. Second thing, it will be a quite better option than Nirma University. Do anything but don't go for a drop.

If you got a seat, it's better for you to pursue than taking a drop, as at the time of placements or when you go for higher education, these 1 year drops add up as a bad impression.

If this rank belongs to MHT-CET then you are eligible here for B.Tech programs. So, participate in MITWPU counselling programme for seat allotment.

It starts from 2.5 LPA to around 10 LPA.

I am sorry but you first need to pass your 1st year then only you can get admission in second year unless you have done some Polytechnic then only you can get admission as a lateral student in second year. So my suggestion to you is don't worry if you thought you can do it now then just go for it's never too late start from the basics.

KIITEE is the best college for CSE. It has good college placements.
