No, direct admission is not available at DY Patil Institute of Technology, Pune. Candidates are selected based on their entrance exam score. MHT-CET or JEE Main scores are required for BE admission. The selection for MBA is based on CAT, MAT, XAT, CMAT, ATMA or MAH MBA CET score. A valid GATE score is required for admission to ME programme. Once selected, candidates need to participate in CET Counselling.

The BSc offered at IISER Berhampur is compared against the BSc programme offered at IISER Pune. The comparison made on the basis of total fees charged by the Institutes and the closing rank of the last round. IISER Berhampur BSc fees for the five-year programme is INR 3.92 Lacs while on another hand the total tuition fees charged is IISER Pune is INR 3.56 lakh.
