Though there aren't as many as there are for other engineering specialties Maharashtra does have a number of institutions offering B.Tech programs in aeronautical engineering. Among the well-known universities is the Defence Institute of Advanced Technology (DIAT), located in Pune and renowned for its aerospace-specific programs. Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University is another noteworthy choice. Aeronautical engineering courses are also offered by GH Raisoni College of Engineering in Nagpur and Amity University in Mumbai.
