Malaysia Eligibility

NRI candidates (Malaysia) can apply for admission to NITs and IITs through the Direct Admission of Students Abroad (DASA) scheme. The selection criteria for NRI candidates in NITs and IITs under the DASA scheme are as follows:
Eligibility: NRI candidates should have passed the qualifying examination (equivalent to 10+2 in India) with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks in Physics Chemistry and Mathematics. SAT Subject Test: NRI candidates are required to appear for the SAT Subject Tests in Mathematics Level 2, Physics and Chemistry. The scores obtained in these tests are used for shortlisting candidates for admission. Merit List: A merit list is prepared based on the SAT Subject Test scores and the eligibility criteria. The candidates are selected for admission to NITs and IITs based on their rank in the merit list. As for the quota, there is no separate quota for NRI candidates in NITs and IITs. However, a certain number of seats are reserved for DASA candidates under the scheme. The admission process for NRI candidates in NITs and IITs is conducted through the DASA scheme, and the candidates are required to follow the guidelines and eligibility criteria specified under the scheme.
