Manipal Institute of Technology (MIT) is a private institute established in 1957 as one of the first self-financing Engineering colleges in India. In 2000, it became a constituent institute of the deemed university Manipal Institute of Technology. MIT undertakes sponsored research programmes supported by funding agencies, such as DST, CSIR, AICTE and the Ministry of Environmental Sciences.

Manipal Institute of Technology, also known as MIT Manipal currently offers UG & PG courses in the stream of Engineering and Computer Applications. These courses are BTech, MTech and MCA. All the courses at MIT Manipal are offered under several specialisations. Admissions to all the programmes are conducted under the guidance of the Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE). The Institute conducts a Manipal Entrance Test MET in three phases every year for admission to all its UG & PG courses, except for MCA. In addition to this, it also accepts GATE scores for MTech programme.

The placement process for the 2023 passing-out batch is still ongoing. So far, 92.9% of students have been placed. A total of 339 recruiters visited the institute campus. The highest participation of recruiters was witnessed in the BTech courses. The institute has only released the course-wise number of recruiters visited during Manipal Institute of Technology placements 2022. As per the official record, the highest number of companies participated in the B.Tech placement drive 2022 and the count stood at 209. The number of companies that were part of M.Tech and MCA placements were 61 and 40, respectively.

You can get CSE in MIT Manipal if your rank is below 1000. However, the cutoff may vary depending on various factors such as the difficulty level of the paper, total number of candidates who appeared in the exam in a particular year, total number of seats, etc.
