Well, there is not particular qualifying cutoff in MET 2019, it just depends on your rank which decides which branch you can get. This is the first time negative marking has been introduced, so cutoffs may vary a lot. If you think that you had could've done better, I would suggest you to give another attempt of it.

You will get nothing in JEE Mains except for some GFTI colleges i.e. government funded technical institute. Also, in VITEEE your marks is not good enough for VIT Vellore. So, you can go for VIT Chennai. Also, you can go for Manipal University. Board marks are not going to help you much in getting seats in any of the above mentioned colleges.

Same fee. Both of the colleges have unusually high fee. Poor academics: Thapar University provides you with almost 0 practical education. When I joined my company, I had 2 projects. (Thapar University asks you to do a summer project, the other one was my own). On the other hand, Manipal University students had 10-12 projects each. Trust me, this is a huge advantage. Manipal's infrastructure is much better than Thapar University. Manipal University has better placement. Being a college based in south, they have much wider and quality companies that visit for campus interviews. You can verify this yourself, ask any Thapar University and

As you have scored 124 marks in the NATA exam and 80 in PU, so it will be difficult for you to get admission in Manipal University. Still, I will suggest you to participate in the counselling process wisely and smartly and wait till the last round of the counselling process.
Best of luck.

Hi Vishesh,
Manipur and vIT are very costly. If you don't have any financial problems, then you should go for Manipal or VIT. Although, Manipal is better. But if you have financial problems, then go for JEE Mains counselling and select all the state level private colleges of west Bengal, Karnataka, Maharashtra as per your interests and convenience.
Best of luck.
