Surely, you are eligible for admission. You have two choices. Either lateral admission in 2nd year of engineering in the connected branch or using diploma as equivalent to 12th, admission in any branch of engineering.

Candidates wishing to enter the navigational and engineering fields of Merchant Navy need to complete their B.Sc. degree in mechanical or marine engineering, before they can gain admission to the field.
