We can say 60 years -65 years. In fact, actually. There are no such criteria. It is completely personnel and demand on the industry. I have to say, mostly majority will stop sailing by 45 years -55 years. This is one high remuneration field after 45-55 year, a B.Tech marine engineer will be well settled and financially strong. Moreover, after gaining good experience as a chief engineer, they can also switch their career to off shore jobs.

TMISAT 2018 Registration Starts january 6, 2018
exam date 1 June 18
Educational Qualification All candidates should have successfully qualified their 12th standard (or equivalent) examination. Even those candidates who have attempted the 12thstandard examination in 2017 but the results have not been declared will be eligible. Marks Required Minimum aggregate of 60% must have been secured by the candidates in their 12thstandard (or equivalent) examination. Candidates should have scored at least 60%.

Eligibility for B.Sc. In Nautical Science. As a minimum criterion of eligibility, the course requires the candidate to have attained the 10+2 qualification in the Science stream with Physics, Math and Chemistry as main subjects, and a minimum aggregate score of 60%.
