Both fields have equal job opportunities. But, Petroleum industry witness lots of up's and down's in a year. You can't predict the exact nature of petroleum field. I would say Marine engineering has an upper hand both in terms of salary as well as job opportunities availability.

MANET is a good institute but according to me the placement companies are not good in MANET .But in MANET placements are 100% .But According to me Tolani is the best institute for Marine Engineering aspirants .Me too interested in taking Marine Engineering as a profession
