Hello Siva, You have got 53% in PCM, in plus two stage last year and you are now seeking admission to Marine Engineering branch. I feel you definitely can seek admission to this branch from the state from which you come from. The eligibility conditions for getting admission into engineering colleges which are government owned or government aided in the states is kept quiet low at about 50% in majority of the states and you have scored more than that. Eligibility criteria for M.Tech Naval Architecture is:
Bachelor's degree in Naval Architecture/ Marine Engineering/ Nautical Science/ Ship Building/ Mechanical Engineering/ Civil Engineering/ B.Arch or the equivalent. You can go for M.Tech in naval architecture course.

To get eligible for the entrance exam you should obtain about 60% in your board exam. Exam pattern includes physics, chemistry, maths, general knowledge, and English grammar.

To start with first thing you should ensure that you are eligible. Here is the eligibility criteria for marine engineering:
* To pursue a B.Tech in marine engineering, a candidate must have cleared 10+2 or any equivalent examination from a recognized board or university under the science stream with compulsory subjects, i.e. physics, chemistry and maths.
* The minimum cut-off is 50% in most institutes.
* Clearing an entrance exam is mandatory in order to get into most marine engineering institutes.
