* To pursue a B.Tech. in Marine Engineering, a candidate must have cleared 10+2 or any equivalent examination from a recognized board or university under the science stream with compulsory subjects Physics, Chemistry and Maths.
* The minimum cut-off is 50% in most institutes.
* Clearing an entrance exam is mandatory in order to get into most Marine Engineering institutes.
* Candidates who have completed a Diploma in any stream of Engineering (Marine, Mechanical and Electrical) with 55-60% in final year can join the B.Tech. course from the 2nd year as part of the Lat
