Tolani Maritime Institute, Pune.
Vels Academy of Maritime Studies, Chennai.
Mohamed Sathak Engineering College, Tamil Nadu.
College of Engineering, Visakhapatnam.
Maharashtra Academy of Naval Education and Training, Pune.
Chennai School of Ship Management, Tamil Nadu.
You can consider them as the priority. There are some more.

CUSAT is a very good and recognised college in Kerala. In fact, I wouldn't recommend any other college than this particularly in Kerala.

The salary package of a second marine engineer is approximately INR. 1.5 Lacs per month and scope of marine engineering is very good in India. It is good sector, if you have interest in it.

Yes, there are high chances, because there are fair number of seats available. But, you should know at least the basics. Rest of the knowledge, you can gain from sailing. Don't fall with traps of agents. Go to every good companies. Many time, they will reject you. But, if you try constantly and patiently, you will get a chance. Good luck.

We can say 60 years -65 years. In fact, actually. There are no such criteria. It is completely personnel and demand on the industry. I have to say, mostly majority will stop sailing by 45 years -55 years. This is one high remuneration field after 45-55 year, a B.Tech marine engineer will be well settled and financially strong. Moreover, after gaining good experience as a chief engineer, they can also switch their career to off shore jobs.
