B.Sc in marine engineering is a good choice. You can join Merchant Navy after that and make great money. There are many private colleges which offer this course like Anglo Eastern, Tolani Maritime Institute, Chennai School of engineering and many more. Just give the entrance exam and join.

A one year Graduate Marine Engineering (GME) course after mechanical engineering would give students the license to enter merchant navy. This one year GME course is all you need to become a marine engineer after doing mechanical engineering.
