Color blindness is not permitted and Distance vision must be unaided 0.5 (6/12) in each eye or 0.67 (6/9) in better eye and 0.33 (6/18) in other eye.

Educational Qualifications-
B.E./B.Tech. Degree holders in Mechanical or Naval Architecture branches are eligible to pursue this course. Minimum marks criteria may exist, in case of some Institutes. And it varies from one Institute to another! Generally, it is between 50-60% marks in the final year of B.E./B.Tech. Program.

Hello Dikshant, I will advise you to listen to yourself. If you are really interested in BCA. Then you should go for BCA. You really don't like Marine Engineering? If No then don't choose Engineering don't choose it on the pressure from another. Have you given Aptitude Test if not. Then give it if possible. From this test we can see in Which fields we are interested and do you have the skills. You can also talk to a counselor about it. If You really wanna do BCA and after that MCA or as you say specialisation in Data Science then go for it. Also try to understand why your Parents are telling you to do Marine Engineering.
