IIMC entrance exam pattern is such that there will be two separate Entrance Exams in two separate sittings on the same day. One entrance examination will be for 4 courses i.e., PG Diploma in Hindi Journalism, PG Diploma in English Journalism, PG Diploma in Public Relations & Advertising and PG Diploma in Radio & Television. While the another exam will be for Regional Language Journalism courses (Odia, Marathi, Malayalam and Urdu). Candidates need to appear for the CUET PG exam to get admission in some of the PG Diploma courses offered at Indian Institute of Mass Communication. These courses are: PG Diploma in Hindi Journalism, PG Diploma in Radio and TV Journalism (Bilingual- English & Hindi), PG Diploma in Advertising and Public Relations (Bilingual- English & Hindi), PG Diploma in English Journalism and PG Diploma in Digital Media. Those clearing the CUET PG exam are required to attend the counselling conducted by the Indian Institute of Mass Communication.

The selection of candidates if the Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC) is solely based on the performance of the candidate in the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) which is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). There will be no interview or group discussion for admissions. The final merit list will be prepared based on the candidates' overall score out of 100 marks.

Yes, you can apply for the Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC) entrance examination if you are an NRI candidate. As per the official website of IIMC, there are five additional seats reserved for the NRI/NRI-sponsored candidates in each course. However, the eligibility criteria and age limits for NRI quota candidates are the same as for Indian nationals.

To fill the CUET PG application form for courses offered at IIMC candidates will have to visit the official website of the NTA and click on the 'Registration For CUET (PG)' link. Thereafter, candidates need to click on 'New Registration' link. On clicking the link, the form window will open on the screen. Thereafter, candidates can start filling the online application form. Candidates will have to fill the details such as course details, personal details, family details, education details, choice of exam centre, signature and photograph.

For the candidates appearing for CUET PG, the exam pattern is such that the number of questions will be 100 and they will be divided into two parts: Part A: Consisting of Language Comprehension/Verbal Ability, General Awareness, Mathematical/Quantitative Ability and Analytical Skills comprising of 25 MCQs and Part B: Domain Knowledge comprising of 75 MCQs. For those appearing for Regional Language PG Diploma Journalism courses, the question paper will be descriptive and objective in nature. There will be Long, Short and Multiple-Choice question (MCQ) type questions.

Candidates can follow the below-mentioned steps to prepare for the IIMC Entrance Exam:Know the syllabus thoroughly.Get all the study material required for the entrance exam to help prepare better.Understand the exam pattern and marking scheme so that you can prepare accordingly.Create a day to day, weekly and monthly time table on how much material to cover on a daily basis.Solve question papers, sample papers and give mock tests to know your strengths and weaknesses.

The candidates have to pay the requisite examination fee. Application Fee (for up to three Test papers) for General candidates is INR 1000, for OBC-NCL/GenEWS is INR 800, for SC/ST/Third Gender is INR 750 and PwBD is INR 700. The fee can be submitted only online through Net Banking, Credit Card, Debit Card, UPI Services. Processing charges and GST as applicable are chargeable to the candidate (in addition to the examination fee) by the concerned Bank/Payment Gateway Integrator.

Candidates possessing a Bachelor? s Degree awarded by a recognised university are eligible to apply. Students who had appeared/are appearing for Final year/semester examination of their Bachelor? s Degree are also eligible to apply. Besides that, there is also age requirement which candidates need to fulfill while applying for IIMC Entrance Exam. Such as General Category candidates should be born on 1.8.1998 or later (maximum 25 years as on 1st August 2023). For SC/ST/Differently abled candidates, the date of birth should be 1.8.1993 or later (maximum 30 years as on 1st August, 2022). For OBC category, date of birth should be 1.8.1995
