Since BJMC is an undergraduate course, you should have cleared 10+2 examination from a recognised board. Your aggregate percentage needs to be at least 75 percent for general category. The merit based admission system in DU has changed and now you have to appear for a common entrance test in order to apply for Journalism and Mass Communication. The entrance exam generally takes place in the month of May-June.

In India, the career opportunities in Journalism are in abundance. You have to decide what is your field of interest and which path do you want to opt for. Journalism is broadly divided into print and electronic. In print media, you can be a reporter, writer, columnist, photojournalist and editor. In electronic, you can be a news anchor, reporter, correspondent and researcher. There is no end for opportunities in this field.
