These are two different courses. UPSC is a different set of ball game altogether. It requires utter patience and hardwork to clear UPSC exam. Becoming a RJ is not an easy job. You must have some basic qualities within you like the ability to talk on multiple topics simultaneously, talk with sense of humor, talk sensibly etc. But above all you must have a passion for radio jockeying.
But these are the raw materials you need to have for becoming an RJ. With these you have to process them for the final output. This process is training. Training for different skills required in practical life of a RJ. These skills includes soft skill, talking style, handling the listeners etc. And you also need a certificate from a reputed RJ training institute to prove your quality.
So, I hope you can understand that becoming an RJ is not an easy job. But if you try with passion then it is easier for you.

Wildlife photography is all about capturing the wild in their own habitat. When you decide to explore into the wilderness you need not have your gear with you.
Before you start making your clicks you should first know many things. When it comes in the way of a wedding or a fashion you can expect or make the subject (models/ people) move according to your light settings but when it comes to the wildlife that's not possible. You have a time of 35 seconds within which you have some major things to do like compose your shot, check your frame, check your angle, check your settings and know the behaviour of the subject and then make a move on clicking on the subject .
Why is it necessary to know the behaviour of the subject? That is because when you know the behaviour of the bird or the animal that your clicking on it will be easy for you to capture their next move.
It is seriously not necessary for you to hire or own a big lenses like 300+ or so even an 16mm can create a wonderful wildlife image if you are sure of the settings and your confident of capturing them in a perfect manner. Wildlife is not actually capturing the animals in close but it actually just means that capturing a wild animal in its own environment/ habitat.

Practice your writing as much as possible so you can start building up your portfolio. You'll most likely be sending articles to travel magazines for publication.

I must tell you that its a great career option. You would be able to travel and work at the same time. Now coming to the point of approach.
1) Find out what are the future prospects of this job, you can easily get that from Google. Approximately how much would you earn?
2) Find current professionals from the industry on linkedin and ask them all your doubts. Generally, people do help out.
3) Are you comfortable with being away from the family most of the time? Try to find out the practical problems of this job.
What you can do:
Take up Mass Communication & Media Studies
Start freelancing for travel websites
Travel a lot yourself & keep yourself updated with all the happening places at least in your area or of your state.
Organize travel & tour operations, excursions, trips & picnics.
Read travel narratives and about travelers like Ibn Batuta, Marco Polo, Richard Hakluyt, etc
