Hi Sachin,
Preparation for the test is not necessary if you do certain things regularly like reading newspaper or going through news in paper, TV, internet, etc. Watching films like Indian, Foreign, etc. and having a writing habit writing in the sense kind of creative writing. If you are not habituated with this things then start. Basically, half of the question paper has GK & current affairs, objective questions on films & entertainment.The other half has creative writing, topics or situations are given one has to write on those.
I guess you got a clear picture of the preparation. If not, then please go through news; all kinds of news, read little bit of GK, watch films if you don't have time then at least know about classic, famous, recent, etc. films, film-entertainment related awards, etc. Write on a regular basis on current topics. Be creative through words.
Lastly, one thing I want to say that I haven't 'prepared' (so called prepared) but I was there in the top 3 among thousands of candidates. So, don't take pressure. Sometimes, your daily life makes you prepared.

The aspirant can pursue graduation in journalism or mass media after completing 12th standard. Those who completed their graduation in any specialisation from a recognised board are eligible to apply. Apart from the educational qualification, one must have certain qualities to get bright future in journalism field,
- The candidate should be comfortable to stand in front of a camera.
- The candidate should have very good communication skills and should have a positive attitude.
- The candidate can also study the specialisation courses for television media.
- The candidate should have very good interpersonal skills and have very good knowledge of current affairs.
After the graduation, you can study some personality development courses. The journalism courses are available in the following colleges:

First of all, you should acknowledge the fact that you are determined, hard-working and creative to have studied mass communication because it cuts across all spheres of life. Whether you desire to specialise in print, broadcast, advertising, public advertising, online journalism, etc. Doesn't limit your job opportunities.
Why is this so? every business that desires to succeed needs information, a good public/corporate image, publicity both on the traditional media and modern media. Organisation or business, need to market its activities to enhance more patronage and profit and above all, it needs research to further improve on its already existing success. So, I think you are lucky to study mass communication.
I am glad I made a good choice and I think you should do same. Even if you choose to work privately or for the government you have a variety. So, just locate where you can excel and express yourself.
