Hi Abhinav,
In St. Xavier's College, Calcutta, we have a placement cell where students can register themselves. Many companies come to our college for recruitment, registered students get notifications according to their stream & subjects. Then one can give exam(if there any) & interview. The first thing that you should do is improve your general knowledge as it the key factor to becoming a journalist. Read newspapers and books, look news channels on daily basis and keep yourself updated.
Once you think that you are abreast with the ongoing affairs around the world, you may appear for entrance tests conducted by different journalism institutes and get into a good one.
