It's not easily to get admission in MIT, Stanford, CalTech or Harvard etc. You need to be excellent in your field. What docs you need is, your graduation certificates, LORs, SOP, entrance Score (GRE/GMAT and IELTS if required). Firstly, apply for entrance exam, they will send you that marks to that university. (You need to apply for your side). And if they found you eligible, they will revert back to you.

Be a brilliant student, not only academics but an all rounder. Show your skills in innovative work, projects, extracurricular activities etc. Try to be unique. The will be thousands of applicants probably having a stronger profile tha you so prepare with careful work. For admission purpose take SAT or ACT. You did not say what you want to study hence assuming you are applying for Bachelor's.

Tests typically included are SAT subject tests or ACT with writing. You must carry an extraordinary profile, demonstrate extracurricular activities and also your interest in astrophysics through projects, workshops and so on.
