Apart from high academic grades, a good GRE score is required. Admissions are competitive and extracurriculars are also taken into consideration. Initiatives, research works, sports and voluntary activities besides your grades would be of great importance. Irrespective of the program you are interested to study, MIT is very selective and admits the brightest of students. Brightest here not only refers to academics but also an all rounded development. In addition you must meet program specific admission requirements.

MIT being world no. 1 has stringent criteria for admissions. Being a technology institute, they definitely look for good maths and physics score. Other than that, you need SAT/ACT and TOEFL/ IELTS. Take a look here:
