The minimum qualification to attend counselling and get into Thiruvalluvar College of Engineering and Technology, for the purpose of UG courses is 10+2 with Science stream and mathematics, and the candidate should have scored not less than 50% in physics, chemistry and mathematics put together. The admission is done through Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) solely on the basis of the marks scored for Class XII.
