MAT Application Process

Candidates can fill the MAT application form through the official website of MAT . Here are the steps to do so :  1.Open official website of AIMA MAT. 2. Enter requires details for registration like Name, Phone Number, Email ID, Date of Birth and set a password. 3. Click on submit button.4. An OTP will be sent in the registered mobile number which you used just now to register.5. Verify phone number using the OTP. 6. New login will be sent in your email. 7. Select exam mode, exam date and other details8. Upload your documents like passport size photo and signature. 9. Select 5 MBA institutes of your preference. (choice declaration).10. Pay the fee via debit/credit card or net banking. 11. In the next page add personal details, academic details, address, etc.12. Fill the remaining fields and the click on the declaration check box13. MAT 2024 registration for August is over. The next phase of exams will be held in December 2024. The schedule of of MAT 2024 registration for December phase will be released by AIMA at the official website. Candidates who plan to appear for the MAT exam this year can apply for any phase of the as per their preparation and convenience. The MAT PBT, CBT and IBT form submission deadline of each session is different. Each MAT session will also be held on a different date. The MAT application fee is same for all exam modes and all exam phases. For each session candidates have to pay INR 2,100 as application fee. Candidates can appear for more than one session, however they will have to pay the fee per session. 

Management Aptitude Test is a national-level examination conducted by the All India Management Association (AIMA). This exam takes place multiple times a year, providing candidates with opportunities to participate in various sessions. MAT is offered in three different modes: Computer Based Test (CBT), Paper Based Test (PBT), and Internet Based Test (IBT). The duration of the exam is 2 hours and 30 minutes. The MAT syllabus includes sections on Language Comprehension, Data Analysis & Sufficiency, Mathematics (Quantitative Aptitude), Intelligence and Critical Reasoning, and Indian & Global Environment. The language of the exam is English. As for the fees, candidates need to pay INR 2,100 to register for the MAT exam.

The MAT application fee is same for all exam modes. The fee amount to be paid is INR 2100 for every single attempt irrespective of the exam mode. If a candidate wishes to combine two attempts (e.g. IBT+IBT, PBT+CBT, IBT+PBT, IBT+CBT), then they will have to pay INR 1500 additionally. Those who opt for additional test will get the benefit of additional 2 Management Institutes for sending their scores in addition to existing option of selecting 5 Management Institutes.If you wish to take the MAT exam in following combination, then you will have to pay INR 3,600.For Double Remote Proctored Internet Based Test (IBT)or PBT+IBTor PBT+CBTor CBT+IBT

For every MAT attempt in different phases you need to fill a separate form. However, if you are planning to go for more than one attempt in the same exam phase, they you can apply for a combination of two exam session.Candidate can take MAT as:Remote Proctored Internet Based Test (IBT) orDouble Remote Proctored Internet Based Test (IBT) orPaper Based Test (PBT) orPaper Based Test and Remote Proctored Internet Based Test (PBT+IBT) orComputer Based Test (CBT) orComputer Based Test and Remote Proctored Internet Based Test (CBT+IBT) orPaper Based Test and Computer Based Test (PBT+CBT)  The MAT application form will be common and candidates will have to only mention their exam modes in it.

Candidates can select up to five participating colleges in MAT application form where they want to take admission for pursing an MBA or a PGDM course. AIMA will send their MAT scorecards to these colleges directly for preparing admission shortlist and sending Personal Interview invite to aspirants. In case a candidate wishes to apply for other colleges, then they will have to fill the admission application form for those colleges individually by visiting their respective websites. Before selecting the five colleges, candidates must check the eligibility criteria (academic requirements like minimum score in graduation), MAT cut off and selection process. This is important because if a candidate does not meet the eligibility criteria or the MAT cut off, they will not be invited by those colleges for admission even if they had selected in the MAT application form.
