MAT Counselling

MAT Counseling 2023 is structured into four rounds, each comprising two stages:Registration and seat allocation: In this stage, candidates are required to complete the registration process for counseling. During registration, they can express their preferences for colleges and courses. Subsequently, seats will be allocated to candidates based on their rank and seat availability at the colleges.Document verification and fee payment: In this phase, candidates are expected to visit the counseling center, bringing along the necessary documents for verification. After successful verification, candidates must proceed to pay the counseling fee to secure their allocated seats.

MAT Counseling 2023 has four rounds.Each round will include two stages: 1. Registration and seat assignment: Candidates must register for the counseling process and indicate their college and course interests. Candidates will be assigned places at institutions based on their MAT scores and choices.2. Seat acceptance and reporting to colleges: Candidates who have been assigned seats must accept their seats and report to the assigned college by the deadline. If there are still open seats after the fourth round of counseling, the participating universities may hold extra rounds of counseling. However, this is entirely up to the colleges' decision. Please keep in mind that the MAT counseling procedure is handled entirely by the participating universities. 

To apply for MAT Counselling at SNDT College, candidates can follow the below steps:1- Visit the official website of SNDT College or SNDT Women's University.2- Look for the "Admission" or "Admission Notices" section on the website.3- Check if the college accepts MAT scores for MBA admission.4- If yes, check the dates for MAT Counselling on the official website of AIMA (All India Management Association).5- Register for MAT Counselling on the AIMA website.6- Pay the counselling fee and fill in the required details.7- Choose SNDT College as one of the preferred colleges during the counselling process.8- Wait for the counselling results to be announced.9- If allotted a seat at SNDT College, complete the admission process as per the instructions mentioned in the counselling results.

AIMA does not play any role in deciding MAT cut offs for admission to any institute. The cut offs are determined by MAT participating colleges individually. AIMA only calculates MAT percentile of every candidate basis their raw score. Factors such as total number of candidates appearing for the exam, the difficulty level of the exam and total number of seats collectively determine MAT cut off for a particular academic session. The cut offs rarely increase or decrease in an academic session. Composite Score of 400 and above is considered a good MAT score. Some of the MAT participating institutes take into consideration sectional cut offs along with overall cut off, while some institutes consider only the overall MAT score for admission. Only meeting the MAT cut off does not guarantee admission to the institute. Final admission is granted based on candidate's overall performance in the MAT exam, Group Discussion, Personal Interview and Academics. Candidates need to check the selection criteria of their preferred institute for the types of cut offs they accept for admission.
