MAT Counseling 2023 will comprise of two to four rounds. The rounds may include Group Discussions, Written Ability Tests, and Personal Interviews. The number of rounds and the specific selection process may vary from institute to institute. After the announcement of MAT results, candidates will be notified about the schedule of MAT counseling. The participating institutes will regulate the selection process for MAT 2023. The process of MAT counseling is conducted by the participating colleges, and AIMA does not have any centralized MAT counseling process

The All India Management Association (AIMA) administers the Management Aptitude Test (MAT) to candidates seeking admission to PGDM/ MBA programs offered by various affiliated institutes/colleges or universities. AIMA does not play any role in deciding MAT cut offs for admission to any institute. The cut offs are determined by MAT participating colleges individually. AIMA only calculates MAT percentile of every candidate basis their raw score. Factors such as total number of candidates appearing for the exam, the difficulty level of the exam and total number of seats collectively determine MAT cut off for a particular academic session. The cut offs rarely increase or decrease in an academic session. Composite Score of 400 and above is considered a good MAT score.
