MAT is definitely regarded as an easy entrance examination for management studies than other ones like CAT or GMAT . Syllabus of MAT is similar to other examinations hence candidate need not prepare anything extra. All the sections of the examination are straight forward with direct questions. The level of difficulty of questions in MAT is easy to moderate. Unlike other examinations, MAT has no sectional timing, which enables it's candidates to have full access to their choices. No, there is no difference in the question paper of MAT IBT and MAT CBT or PBT. The paper pattern is the same for all three with two hundred questions each . However, MAT IBT is a remote proctored examination which allows it's candidates to choose the location of their preferences to give the examination, while the other two are centre based examinations. Total marks of MAT exam is 150. Every question carries one mark for correct attempt and there is negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer. No marks is deducted for skipping questions.
