MAT is conducted multiple times in a year. MAT 2024 exam dates will be announced phase wise - February, May, August and December. Candidates will be allowed to register for multiple mode and multiple attempts. AIMA does not play any role in deciding MAT cut offs for admission to any institute. The cut offs are determined by MAT participating colleges individually. AIMA only calculates MAT percentile of every candidate basis their raw score. Factors such as total number of candidates appearing for the exam, the difficulty level of the exam and total number of seats collectively determine MAT cut off for a particular academic session. The cut offs rarely increase or decrease in an academic session. Composite Score of 400 and above is considered a good MAT score. MAT score calculation is based on marks obtained in the five section- Language Comprehension, Mathematical Skills, Data Analysis and Sufficiency and Intelligence and Critical Reasoning. The score of Indian & Global Environment section is not taken into consideration for MAT percentile calculation, so candidates need not worry about it. Know the MAT marking scheme below:
MAT composite score is presented in the range of 199-801. Each question carries one mark for correct attempt. There is negative marking of 0.25 marks for each incorrect attempt.

MAT scorecard is the main document which is the identity proof of a candidate qualifying the exam. Thus it is not only necessary to keep a copy of the scorecard but also necessary to have an error free scorecard. After downloading the MAT result cum scorecard the candidates must check it thoroughly for errors. Each candidate's MAT result cum scorecard will contain the following information:

After the declaration of MAT result, candidates can start applying to the colleges they have shortlisted for pursuing MBA/PGDM. AIMA will send candidate's scores to the participating B-Schools that they shall have selected in their MAT application form. The MBA colleges will then shortlist candidates for the admission process and call candidates for further rounds. If candidates want to apply at colleges other than those five, then they will have to fill the application form for those other colleges individually. Yes, the MAT scorecards of all modes are released together on the same day. The process to download the MAT scorecards of all modes is also same. MAT exam is conducted phase wise in February, May, September and December. In each phase MAT PBT, MAT CBT and MAT IBT exam are conducted multiple times. Candidates can appear for MAT any number of times they want. Score of the latest MAT attempt will be considered for admission.
