MAT Entrance Examination has a total of 200 questions which are divided into 5 sections - Language and Comprehension, Intelligence and Critical Reasoning, Data Analysis and Data Sufficiency, Mathematical Skills and Indian - Global Environment. 40 questions are asked from each section as follows - 1) Language and Comprehension - 40 questions. 2) Intelligence and Critical Reasoning - 40 questions. 3) Data Analysis and Data Sufficiency - 40 questions. 4) Mathematical Skills - 40 questions. 5) Indian and Global Environment - 40 questions. Note : there is no sectional timing for the MAT examination however candidates are advised to not spend much time in the Indian and Global Environment section since it is not going to be considered for percentage calculation. Refer to the official website of MAT, for more information about the examination. 

The selection process for an MBA depends upon the college to which a student is applying for or applying to. Each such college or university has its way of selecting students and it depends upon the description of the college. Now, coming to the most used process for selection in an MBA programme is a group discussion round followed by a personal interview round and then the student needs to wait for the list of candidates that have been selected after the process. The minimum MAT score that is required by an MBA student again depends upon the college that he or she is applying to, each college and university in India has its own set of eligibility criteria and therefore there cannot be any specific answer to this that what is the minimum score to be eligible for taking admission in B- Schools in India.The MBA colleges in India follow a certain prescribed rule for the selection process and they are very easily available on different kinds of websites about the process that a particular institute or college is following for the selection process in their college. The students can easily visit any of the college websites of websites like Shikska where they can easily find the selection process that particular college or that particular institution is following, and so the eligibility criteria are mentioned in the same place. Some top B- Schools in India do not accept the score of MAT and therefore a student might be asked to show the results of some other commpetitive exams that he or she has taken part in.

The PSG Institute of Advanced Studies (PSGIAS) offers an MBA programme in collaboration with the University of Toledo, USA. The admission process is based on the rank obtained in the TamilNadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET), and a TANCET score above 65 can be good enough for PSG College of Technology. Additionally, the institute also offers study opportunities for both years at PSGIAS or one year at PSGIAS and one year at the University of Toledo, USA, with different pathways for the program. While the specific information about the acceptance of MAT percentiles is not available, the institute's emphasis on TANCET scores and the collaborative programme with the University of Toledo suggests that a 65 percentile in MAT may be considered for admission. It is recommended to directly contact the admission office of PSGIAS for the most accurate and up-to-date information regarding the acceptance of MAT percentiles for the MBA program

Covering MAT syllabus and scoring good in the examination in six months is not impossible and can be achieved with consistency. Candidates should keep these things in mind during their preparation: • Be familiar with the syllabus: Spend time in analysing the syllabus and list them all to make sure you don't go out of syllabus or skip something.• Time management: although their is no boundry for sectional time spending, Candidates should make sure to give time based tests so that they don't end up spending majority of time on one section. • Cover the syllabus in three to four months : Cover the complete MAT Syllabus in three to four months to ensure that you are left with time for revision. At last, don't stress and start preparing. You will do well.  

MAT 2024 registration for August is over. The next phase of exams will be held in December 2024. The schedule of of MAT 2024 registration for December phase will be released by AIMA at the official website. Candidates who plan to appear for the MAT exam this year can apply for any phase of the as per their preparation and convenience. The MAT PBT, CBT and IBT form submission deadline of each session is different. Each MAT session will also be held on a different date. The MAT application fee is same for all exam modes and all exam phases. For each session candidates have to pay INR 2,100 as application fee. Candidates can appear for more than one session, however they will have to pay the fee per session.
