Materials Management

The post graduate Diploma in Material Management is a 2-3 year postgraduate level course which can be pursued by candidates either full time or correspondence that offers eligible candidates specialisation in a wide range of management skills, while at the same time building competence in a particular area of business. The duration of the full time course is 2 years while correspondence is for 3 years. In order to be eligible for the course the candidate must have completed their graduation or Diploma in a relevant field from a recognised college/ university. The admission for post graduate Diploma in material management is entrance exam based, the candidate has to clear either of the entrance exams like CMAT XAT etc. The important subjects taught in post graduate Diploma in material management course include principles of management and organisational behaviour, packing and distribution management, total quality management (TQM), Quantitative techniques for management, managerial economics, corporate communication, strategic management and human resource management.

Degree (regular mode) from recognised University securing an aggregate of 55% marks or its equivalent grade (50% of marks or its equivalent grade in case of SC/ST/SAP). a) Objective type questions on Research Aptitude : 50 marks
b) Contemporary developments in the field of law and society : 50 marks
c) Specific questions in Law /MBL/Public Policy/other disciplines: 50 marks
Candidate securing not less than 50% marks on the aggregate will qualify for making an oral presentation before the panel of experts on the date specified by the University. A separate Admission Test shall be conducted to the candidates who have qualified for UGC NET / JRF, SLET, M.Phil and Foreign Nationals. The eligibility criteria of LPU for Ph.D in Law is also given below. Eligibility : Masters degree with 55% aggregate marks in a relevant discipline or equivalent, subject to qualifying LPUNEST and Interview; Other conditions as prescribed in the Guidelines for Degree of Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D. ) programmes.
