The official brochure states the following eligibility criteria of TANCET MBA 2018:
Must hold a Bachelors degree of minimum three years duration from a recognised institution. A prospective test taker must have a minimum 50 percent of marks (45 per cent for reserved category) at the graduation level to be able to apply for the TANCET 2018 exam. Yes, if you pass your compartmental exam then you are eligible to take admission in any college, but keep eye on their boards percentage criteria and the counselling time because at the time of counselling you need to produce the all clear marksheet.
