Class 12th through NIOS is equivalent to passing 12th through CBSE, ICSE or State Board. Depending on the subjects in class 12th, all the options will be open for you. NIOS has a diverse choice of subjects and based on your interest and what you would like to do in the future, choose them with care. The books prescribed are also made very scientifically, allowing for studying on your own. So, don't worry and choose subjects of your choice and clear them. Yes, you may get better placements. Aap far as I know you can do but like dse, jnu that famous are having eligibility criteria for Maths. But like Mumbai University and IGNOU doesn't require but it's my advice to you take Maths economics and Statistics in Bachelors it'll give you more scope than only 6 papers theory of economics. Do hardwork in Bachelor's with Maths you'll find your ways easier when you go for higher studies or any entrance exam or any job interview test. That will help you a lot. Good luck.
