Most BSC Nursing colleges have standards whereby you stand an eligibility to join their Nursing college if you studied Biology, Chemistry, and Physics in your 12th standard. Mathematics is not one of the compulsory courses that any candidate needs to possess to gain admission into BSC Nursing. Though it is essential to note that it is fine for some institutions to accept students with Mathematics as an additional subject. The are normal instances where you will need to confirm with the specific admission requirements of each intuitions you are applying to. About 30 institutions demand Biology, Chemistry, and physics be offered as compulsory subjects while only 10-20 percentage would admit students with Mathematics. As many as 3000-4000 institutions in India are running BSC Nursing courses that admit 1.5-2 Lacs students every year.

IISc has a four-year Bachelor of Science (Research) course in Mathematics and Computing and not a regular B.Tech. The program can be considered to have a very large research component and lays emphasis on the basic mathematics and computer science courses. Although it is not specifically aimed at preparing graduates for industries related to computer science, the focus on research and problem solving ability make graduates of the program in high demand with major companies in the computing sector. The fees for the program are approximately INR 2,20,000 per year and in total, the fee for the entire 4 years program would be approximately INR 8,80,000. Placement details indicate that IISc has gained good placement records in that students secure average salaries of INR 15,00,000 to INR per annum.

The CUET UG course subjects have many key disciplines.Mathematics offers Core Mathematics and Applied Mathematics according to one's academic background and interest.Core Mathematics entails calculus, algebra, linear programming, probability, and differential equations.It conforms to concepts in higher mathematics along with traditional textbook methods of problem-solving, which are very fundamental for technical and science-oriented courses.Applied Mathematics, on the other hand, includes practical topics like financial mathematics, time series, statistics, and real-world applications such as EMI calculations and indexes. More suitable for commerce, management, and related fields.
