In most situations, you can apply for a BCom programme without having taken math in grade 12. A BCom degree typically involves passing class 12 with commerce subjects and a minimum percentage of marks (which varies by university). Maths is rarely made an obligatory subject.

No, studying Mathematics is mandatory for applying for MCA at PES University. Candidates need to pass BCA/ Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science and Engineering or equivalent degree with at least 50% aggregate to apply for PES MCA course. Aspirants who have completed BA/ BSc/ BCom with Mathematics at Class 12 level or at graduation level (with additional bridge courses as per the norms of concerned university) with at least 50% aggregate can also apply.

Allahabad University cutoff for the PG courses including MSc is based CUET PG scores followed by the release of round-wise merit lists.
