Usually, the number of seats is fixed, but there may be many students who are willing to shift. In some cases with disclaimers, the FMS management can switch the course if the seats are available.

If you want to build strong business and financial skills, then an MBA degree is the right choice for you. However, if you want to focus specifically on accounting and finance, then a CA course is a better option.

With a CMAT score of 88.16 percentile and belonging to the OBC category, you may have a chance to get admission in some of the colleges you have mentioned in the CAP (Centralized Admission Process) rounds. However, admission to these colleges also depends on other factors such as the number of seats available, the number of applicants, and the cutoff set by each college. Based on the cutoffs of the previous years, you may have a chance to get admission in colleges like SIES, NL Dalmia, IES and Chetna in the CAP rounds, especially in the second or third round. However, admission to PUMBA and XIMR may be competitive, and you may need to

An official TC with a mention of "Discontinued" on it provided by your college on account of you leaving the course after admission will hold good for all purpose. However, for a new admission to a different course, you should satisfy the minimum educational requirements. But for all the document verification process and admission requirements this TC will be valid as a proof of you dropping out. Anyways you can contact the college you wish to join and confirm the same once because there can be exceptions with some colleges.

FMS and XLRI do not care about past academics. You get 99.7+ and with only 10% weightage to past academic in FMS, it will be a sure shot convert. Beyond these B schools there would be many accepting you like MDI, NITIE, New Iims, provided you get a good percentile.
