*A three-year BBA programme must have been finished by candidates.*In addition, candidates must show up for and pass the Management Aptitude Test (MAT) or the Common Admission Test (CAT). In 2001, the Techno Main Salt Lake unit was founded as part of the Techno India Group. Known as the IT center of West Bengal, Salt Lake, Kolkata, is where it is located.Affiliated with Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology (MAKAUT), the college provides a range of undergraduate and graduate degrees.It has accreditation from the NBA and AICTE approval.Techno Main Salt Lake provides M.Tech and MBA degrees in addition to B.Tech.The college takes WBJEE and JEE Mains scores during counseling and admits students on the basis of merit.

The eligibility criteria for admission to MBA at Velammal Engineering College are as follows:  Candidates must hold a bachelor's degree from a recognised university with a minimum of 50% marks in the qualifying exam.
