The aspirants who score CAT percentile in a range of 80-90 must not worry as there are many colleges accepting CAT score 80-90 percentile. It is also a good CAT score, and most MBA colleges do not pre-announce the cutoff. If you score 80 percentile in the CAT exam, you can expect good B-schools for admission. If you are aiming for the top 6 IIMs, then you must score 99 percentile for even getting shortlisted for the Written Ability Test (WAT) and Personal Interview (PI). However, for other top MBA colleges 90-95 percentile is good. A majority of CAT test takers fall in the category of 80-90 percentile.

The admission to JEMAT participating colleges is done based on the counselling process conducted by MAKAUT. Several colleges that accept JEMAT scores may also accept CAT scores for admission. IMI Bhubaneswar considers various factors for admission, including CAT/XAT/CMAT/GMAT scores, academic record, and other criteria. Shortlisted candidates undergo further evaluation through essay writing, personal interview, and potentially IMI Bhubaneswar Research Aptitude Test. Therefore, while CMAT scores are considered, they are part of a holistic evaluation process alongside other qualifications.
