Getting a good GMAT score will definitely improve your profile and application when it comes to MBA and MIM admissions. However, students need to realize that a GMAT score is not the only criteria for their selection in a B-school. Application documents such as a statement of purpose, letters of recommendation, admission essays, etc. are equally important and can make or break your chances of getting in a B-school. It will be beneficial for the students to work on their profile in a holistic manner.

No, a minimum score of 70 percentile in CAT, XAT, or MAT is required. The average CAT score can be considered 198 to 180 for the MBA and the 90+ percentile in any of CAT and MAT can be considered good for admission to the top colleges. Additionally, a No Objection Certificate is required from the employer for working executives/sponsored candidates/ candidates on sabbatical/candidates recommended by PSUs/GOI Departments.
