Because the XAT is a post-graduate course test, the minimum eligibility requirement is a bachelor's degree. There is no minimum graduation mark needed for XAT. All that is required of an applicant is a bachelor's degree or equivalent in any field from a university recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC). Students who are in their last year of their bachelor's degree or are awaiting their results are also eligible to take the XAT test. Working professionals with a bachelor's or master's degree, as well as those with professional degrees (CA/CS), are eligible to apply.Candidates should keep in mind, however, that universities accepting XAT scores have graduation eligibility requirements of at least 50% (45% for Reserved category students).

The XAT 2024 test will be held in 79 cities across India, including new locations such as Shillong, Jorhat, Rajkot, Tejpur, and Naharlagun. To accommodate applicants from various locations, the exam is often offered in many test centers.
