The CAT exam doesn't have a fixed score. Instead, your performance is measured in terms of percentile. This means your score is compared to all other test-takers, and you're given a percentile ranking. For example, a 99 percentile means you scored better than 99% of the other test-takers.The actual raw score you get depends on the difficulty of the exam that year and how well you perform compared to others. You can check the official CAT website or various educational websites for more information on past years' scores and percentiles.

Hence, it enforces competency in English as the medium of communication for all sections since it would make understanding and answering questions much better. Some regional language examinations allow for bilingual options for management programs; CMAT, however, is designed in Englis

With an NMAT score of 210, it may be challenging to secure admission in XIMB (Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar), as their typical cutoff scores tend to be higher. For example, previous cutoffs for NMAT ranged between 220-235 for well-established B-schools like NMIMS, and similar institutions might follow similar trends. However, you could still explore the specific program's requirements, as cutoffs can vary by specialization and institution.

The CAT cutoff for H.K. Institute of Management Studies and Research (HKIMSR) varies each year based on the performance of candidates and the number of seats available. For the year 2023,  the CAT cutoff for the General category was 25 percentile. This means that candidates needed to score at least 25 percentile in the CAT exam to be considered for admission to the MBA programme at HKIMSR. It's important to note that the cutoff can change each year, so it's a good idea to keep an eye on the latest notifications and updates from the institute. Additionally, HKIMSR also considers other entrance exams like MAH MBA CET, MAT, XAT,

With 78 percentiles in any XAT, you can think of the following good colleges that are in and around Delhi offering the MBA programme for a fee of less than 8 LPA and probably have an average package greater than 10 LPA:LBSIM, Delhi - Fees approximately 7.5 LPA- LBSIM, Delhi with very good placement opportunities. IMI, Delhi - Fees 7-8 LPA, average package exceeds 10 LPA. FORE School of Management - Fees about 8 LPA, average package is 10+ LPA. These are institutions providing quality education coupled with some strong invocations with the industry.

With a CAT percentile of 73.74, gaining admission to the top IIMs (such as IIM Ahmedabad, Bangalore, or Calcutta) would be highly unlikely, as their cutoffs are usually above 90-95 percentile. However, you may have a chance at some of the newer or less competitive IIMs (like IIM Amritsar, Bodh Gaya, or Sirmaur), where the cutoff might be relatively lower. It's always advisable to check the specific IIM's cutoff requirements for the year.

With a score of 216 in NMAT, the chances of getting a call from XIMB (Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar) are high since the overall cutoff for enrollment in XIMB during the recent years has been close to 200-220. But your sectional scores are also important here since a lot of institutes have set minimum sectional cutoffs. Logical Reasoning-70; Language Skills-82; Quantitative Aptitude-64: These scores would either meet the requirements or come quite close depending on the sectional cutoff XIMB will have this year. You should, however, apply to XIMB and check the particular cut-off trends for 2024, for confirming eligibility.
