No, it is not compulsory to appear for CAT, MAT, or XAT for admission to the MBA in Hospitality and Tourism at LPU. Admission can be granted based on LPUNEST (Lovely Professional University National Entrance and Scholarship Test) or through qualifying exam marks. However, if a candidate has a valid score in CAT, MAT, XAT, or any other national-level management entrance exam, they may be exempted from LPUNEST. Additionally, LPUNEST can also help students secure scholarships. Therefore, while national-level tests are not mandatory, they can be beneficial for exemptions and competitive advantages in admissions.

It is not necessary to stay in any of the college or university's hosyel if you can attend class regularly & appear in practical as it is a practical based subject hence it will be good for you that you must stay near or in campus there, as there is no timing fixed for hospitality subjects.
