Marketing do include some mathematics when you study marketing research, it includes concepts of Intermediate probability theory and statistics, whereas HR is pure fundamental concepts of organizations. It will include models for labor relations, employee management and organization structure. HR will be theoretical as compared to marketing.

Yes, HR is good stream and you can get opportunities into Talent acquisition and Recruitment, Talent mapping, Administration, Industrial Relations, HR Policy Making, people management and analysis.

You have to take CAT, XAT, MAT, CMAT or GMAT to pursue MBA in human resource management from a top college or university. After clearing these exams, you can get admission in top B-Schools.
