Firstly, they have a specialized course for HR which IIMs do not have. (Only very recently IIM Ranchi started one) XLRI is the oldest college in India with a specialized course in HR.
XLRI has a very good reputation and also many top level HRs are from XLRI only, so their placements are good.
XLRI does hove a good hostel life. Also they have a small batch size which ensures you get to know everyone from your batch. They have a lot of fests, activities, etc. You are guaranteed to have a fun hostel life there.
Their fee structure is similar to IIMs, in lakhs.
And also, XLRI has no reserv

If your domicile is Gujarat that is if you completed your 10th or 12th or graduation from any recognized institute/school in Gujarat then admission starts from 27th. All major newspapers of today contains information regarding this as well as you can apply for admission.
Last date is 4 July for offline mode while 5 July for online mode. You need to visit help centers located across different cities of Gujarat and go further with admission.
For your knowledge, you don't have to select hr or other specialization right now. You need to select them after one year of your MBA.
P.S. I believe you had given CMAT and have valid score of 180+ f
