You should always opt for the exams, as they will allow admission in the top colleges. Through consultancies, you will not get the top colleges hence the jobs after wards too will be average.

To get call from a top MBA college, you will have to appear for an entrance exam. 20 MBA entrance exams you can take in 2018-19, are mentioned at the link provided below. The entrance tests are organized at national, state or university level by various authorities.
