See in marketing (core marketing profile/hardcore sales profile), job opportunity is there but mainly in hardcore sales as we know a perfect salesman always has a job in market but job sustainability depends upon the job profile.
In finance (core finance /sales of financial products), here also ample number of profile of financial sales are available (relationship manager, insurance, mutual fund, sales corporate and credit sales) which may be target oriented and a few number of profile core finance profiles (investment banker, research, derivative analyst, credit analyst). Yes, scope and scale are better since roles would be broader with exposure into international marketing and roles like import export manager, country manager, national accounts manager. So, IB and marketing are preferable.

Both the specializations are equally good. Marketing will have more analytical and reasoning skills. Finance needs good command in mathematics along with basics of accounting. Marketing jobs are not only associated with manufacturing and FMCG products, but it is equally important for financial products, banking, agriculture and IT.
Finance will get you into positions like:
1. Risk management.
2. Banking.
3. Investment banking.
4. Credit analyst.
5. Wealth management.
Growth in marketing is slow, but its shoots up when you gets experience. Whereas, finance has a steady career and growth is slow.

If you score well in CAT, GD/ PI and have excellent academic records, you can make it to IIM even after Bachelor's degree in hotel management.
