In my opinion, don't run after salary packages that you will get if you select a reputed organization. As per the salary structure, you will be paid reasonable salary packages, but what you need to focus is the profile that you select at the time of getting the job offer so in my opinion work profile is more important than the salary packages in your initial career.

Hi,
It is mandatory for PSUs to give entrance exams, however, there are certain posts in PSUs in Marketing, HR, Finance departments In which you may not need to give entrance exam and the banks either recruit by visiting MBA Colleges or by putting up advertisement in newspaper or both.
Private Sector banks recruit by visiting the campus and you can also apply it there is a vacancy. Generally, Private sector bank don't conduct entrance exams

Hi,
I think getting into SIOM would be of great help in terms of companies that come there for operations management.
Plus the entire PGDM they focus on competencies related to OM. Of course to get in you need to crack SNAP. There are other colleges as well that have focused on OM.

India is going towards a massive corporate shift with demonetisation and GST as the flagship reasons for its economic growth today. This increases the demand for managers with knowledge in strategic management who can help the company move very cautiously in the direction of growth and make profits as before the new amendments.
The only cons one will encounter is uneasy placements. But once placed, there is an immense scope in this area.
